The Board of Commissioners has awarded several grants across a variety of local charities and non-profits. The Madison County Historical Society is grateful to be the receipient of such a grant. Thank you to the Board of Commissioners for supporting our mission to promote, protect, and preserve Madison County history and heritage.

Hi Folks! 

Just an update that our new physical address is 121 Aspen Ave, Richmond, KY 40475. We would love to have you stop by for a visit! 

The Madison County Historical Society is now actively working on a memorial to honor our World War II dead. The monument will be a black granite with white lettering. It will measure 48" x 72" and will be placed on the Madison County Courthouse lawn on the Second Street side. Madison County Fiscal Court will provide the base and concrete path around the monument with benches located in front of the monument. The estimated cost of the monument will be $12,500.
